The Variegated Kumquat is one of our favorite and most stylish trees. The leaves have a fine texture with NO thorns. The leaves are a variegated pale yellow and cream with the most beautiful fruits - striped light green and light yellow. At maturity, the fruits acquire the familiar orange kumquat color. The fruits are oval and necked, up to two and one-half inches long on average. And the taste? Acidic, especially juicy, light orange, and low-seeded. The fruit matures in winter and holds well on the tree. Often used for marmalade if you're feeling that DIY kitchen jam.
